Welcome to our beautiful holiday rental cottage, Anchorage.

The Anchorage is an attractive, family owned, period two bedroom property in Sandsend near Whitby in North Yorkshire, which sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children.

Beautifully positioned in picture postcard conservation area of The Valley, Sandsend, the 18th Century cottage on Low Row overlooks the village stream and green, with spectacular views from both the lounge and main bedroom of the sandy beach and sea beyond.

The self-catering cottage comprises of two bedrooms, one double and one bunk room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Bosch Quantum Speed combined oven and microwave, electric hob, electric kettle and toaster and a fridge with freezer compartment. Outside in the shed is a washing machine.

The comfortable lounge with its log burning stove, has freesat television, DVD player, PlayStation 2 and free WiFi.

At the rear of the cottage is a private garden with seating area and terraces providing you with a sun trap late into the evenings.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, it is a welcoming “bolt hole” for those wishing to experience the traditional English seaside idyll.

The Blue flag beach is the perfect choice for a traditional seaside family holiday, with sandy beaches, streams, rock pools and fossil hunting.

For couples, Sandsend provides a romantic hideaway, with scenic coastal walks, breath taking sea views and located only two miles north of Whitby, provides an excellent coastal base from which you can explore all of the beauty that North Yorkshire has to offer.

The village itself offers superb amenities for a village of this size including: restaurants, cafes, gift shops, two pubs, a village store, a surf school and an art gallery.

Bookings are available for a minimum stay of three nights, with week only bookings accepted in July and August.

One small, well behaved dog is welcome downstairs in the cottage, by prior arrangement.
